 Explore the latest concept images and see how the Ashland Wellness and Aquatic Center is progressing.  These images represent the current design direction and are intended to help illustrate the project vision.  Specific layouts, finishes, features, and design elements may continue to evolve as planning and fundraising move forward. 

The aquatic space will provide year-round opportunities for recreation, wellness, and water-based programming for people of all ages. This space will expand access to aquatics beyond the summer months and create new possibilities for swim lessons, fitness classes, and community programming.

The multi-purpose courts and turf will provide flexible, year-round space for practices, games, tournaments, and training. Designed for a variety of sports and activities, the space will serve local athletes and recreation programs while creating opportunities to host regional events that bring teams, families, and visitors to Ashland.

Flexible community spaces will provide a welcoming place for Ashland residents, organizations, and businesses to gather and connect. From meetings and educational programs to celebrations, workshops, and community events, these spaces will be designed to accommodate a variety of needs. 

An indoor walking and running track will create a safe, accessible place for community members to stay active throughout the year. It will be an especially valuable resource during Nebraska's cold winters and hot summers, making consistent physical activity more accessible.

The fitness area will support every stage of the health and wellness journey. With space for individual workouts, strength and cardio training, and group fitness opportunities. The goal is to create an inclusive, welcoming fitness environment where beginners, experienced athletes, and everyone in between can feel comfortable staying active.

A dedicated early childhood education space will help address the growing need for quality childcare and learning opportunities in the Ashland community. By creating a safe and engaging environment for young children, AWAC will support expanding access to early childhood care, which is not only an investment in Ashland's youngest residents but also an important part of supporting our local workforce and strengthening the community's future.
